Resource Planner Blog
Product update: We are removing features!

Resource Planner keeps evolving to make scheduling simpler, smarter, and more tailored to your team’s needs. This time, we removed bunch of stuff.
Not a common move in the SaaS world, but we’re committed to keeping the tool simple. If something isn’t used, isn’t great, or doesn’t fit the core use case, it’s gone.
What is gone?
Removed daily mode - None of our paying customers were using it, and we weren’t satisfied with it either. We believe there are better tools for that use case.
Removed legacy graphs - We moved billed rates from team members to projects some time ago but kept the graphs in "Forecast" section temporarily. They’re now gone.
Removed google tracking - we don’t really use this anymore and in order to protect you privacy, we removed it.
That said, we’re not just cutting. We’re refining.
What is new?
Tentative projects - Not every project is approved right away, and managers need a way to reflect that.
Tasks with comments - We noticed that several of our users use ResourcePlanner also for task management. We added possibility to extend assignment into task, which will let you add more complex description and have recorded discussion in comments.
What is comming next?
Task attachments - We will play around with new "Tasks" feature so we can be a full replacement for project management tools. One of the next steps will be adding support for images and file attachments in task detail.
